The game is good but the memes used are super old and obsolete, so its trying to be funny but its not. However, it is a great game.

I love this developer, and if I see them attached to a game, that means I can expect a certain level of quality.

Played for over an hour without dying. Kept encountering "Chuck Norris" as the main boss at the end of every scenario. Found that other stars kept re-appearing also. Id like to see the game have an ending then to continue on endlessly in redundancy.

This game is fun. Power ups are a bit unbalanced and random, but I like how you can have randomly awesome runs and then a string of bad luck.

This game is undeniably addictive, but if you dont get any good weapon drops, it becomes a joyless slog.

This game is crazy fun. It has some top notch references to pop culture and game development. You should totally buy it

Amazing fun game. Should have a save option, or not have to restart when game is exited. Only downfall.

Fun quirky game. There is a glitch upon resurrection, one or more power ups stop working, in my case the ro cat launcher

One reviewer said the "haters" are really old people. Not necessarily, kiddo. Im old, thus my name, and I love it. Its funny and fun. Ive tried Shooty Skies and others. Didnt keep them, cause this one is so much better - best in class!

I have to admit that being as big a fan as I am of this game and with how frequently I play it everyday, well, I was quite worried that an update might ruin everything that was great about the game. Yet, in my opinion, this new update is just fantastic and to me it made "Shooting Stars" twice as good as it already was. First off, I think that the new bosses, at least the two Ive encountered thus far, are just hilarious and lots of fun to try and beat. I wont say which ones Ive seen so as not to spoil the surprise for other players. But, the ones that I have battled so far fall in line with the original trend of taking celebrities and giving them similar, goofy names. So, very excited and happy to have funny new bosses to fight. Also, I am really enjoying the new marionette patterns I guess you would call them, or routines maybe. It breaks up the tedium of playing the same ones from before and some are quite fun to see orchestrated I think. I think that its neat, too, how now when you kill and explode a marionette, the screen rumbles a little bit. I found that to be something that in the beginning I actually didnt like the change, but the more I played with it I really started to enjoy the added animation and experience. Another great new feature I think is having the three levels of hamburgers now. That new surprise is close to my most favorite thing about the new features. You have the classic triple-shot green shooting lasers, but now also have a blue sort of double-shot laser that is powerful and a triple-shot that also continuously fires Ro-Cats at the same time. Which, I think all three are superb but the latter is really something special I believe that really adds some "oomph" to your laser blasts. I think that there are some more new features that Im forgetting to mention too. In the end, though, BloodIrony just could have not produced a more spectacular and fun-filled update in my opinion. Something I already loved and played way too often, has just become that much better to me. As I said in my reviews title, it has been quite a wait to get new content for this game. But, if all future updates are, what I consider to be, this wonderful, well I am more than happy to wait for them. My sincere thanks and gratitude to BloodIrony for this incredible and exhilarating update and for all of the blood, sweat and tears that you no doubt poured into it. If you are like me and you had some reservations about updating the game, take my advice and update it right away. Thanks again and God bless. iPhone 6 Plus/ iOS 9.0.1 Update: 10-23-15 Something else that I forgot to mention in my last review that I really like. Is the new way you select Ultimate Attacks. Previously, any time that your character floated over a Ultimate Attack you selected that one, despite whether you wanted it or not. Now, though, you have to hold Tscherno over any Ultimate Attack for like one or two seconds before you gain that new power. As I said, I just think that this new feature is great. Because many times, especially at the end of defeating, Nuck Chorris. Tscherno, would automatically slide over an Ultimate Attack that was on the board and it was generally something that I didnt want to have. So, thanks again to BloodIrony for these wonderful new features and improvements. I should also say that I really like the nod to the, what I consider to be - comedy/horror film, "Idiocracy", in regards to one of the new bosses. I have seen that hilarious and chilling-possible-prediction-of-the-future movie, more times than I can count and it is so fun I think to see it referenced in Shooting Stars. If you havent seen the film I highly recommend you view it. Youll definitely find it hilarious I think. But, you might also want to add the horror genre label to it like I do, as well, after viewing it. Or, its dystopian future might make you feel right at home and seem like a very normal and preferable culmination of todays devolution of intelligence, morals and values. Im which case, "yikes!" I already would have recommended this game before, but now youd be crazy I think to not check it out with all of these new upgrades to it.

The game is a little pricey BUT is A LOT of fun and a great time killer!!

I bought this game, not knowing what to expect. Well. THIS IS A GUD GAME. Memes: Check. Parodies: Check. Bullet-Hell Action: Check. We DO need ONE thing here: A hard mode! I mean, this game IS pretty tough, but after reaching the Nuclear Throne a couple times, I found this game to be rather easy. Oh, and please put Danny DeVito in this game. WE NEED THE TRASH MAN.

Always fun, always a challenge. I Bought this not knowing what to expect and am pleasantly surprised. cute yet sassy. Its the perfect combination.
